Rev. Dr. Charles J. Kellam, Sr. is a native of the Eastern Shore of Virginia. Have 2 children (Charles Jr - Sharail, 2 grandsons).
In 1979, Dr. Kellam completed his formal educational tragrandsonsining at Northampton High School located in Eastville, Virginia. In 1983, he received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociolo2gy from St. Paul’s College. Dr. Kellam is a 2004 graduate of Virginia Union University Samuel Dewitt Proctor School of Theology with a Master of Divinity. He is also a 2010 graduate with an earned Doctor of Ministry. Dr. Kellam currently teaches at the Northampton High School, serves as the JV basketball coach.
In addition, Dr. Kellam has formerly serves as football coach for the Northampton Yellow Jackets, full-time teacher at the Northampton High School .
God called Dr. Kellam to lead the New Mt. Zion Baptist Church in October 2001, where he has assumed the duties as their shepherd. Under his leadership, the church has grown tremendously spiritually and financially. His objective is to obtain a position in the community of faith that will allow him to fulfill his calling in ministry and to fully utilize his skills in preaching, teaching and leadership. Since pastoring NMZ, Dr. Kellam has greatly increased membership and spiritual growth, established numerous new ministries, and appended multivarious renovations throughout the entire sanctuary.
Dr. Kellam serves as an evangelist facilitating workshops and seminars in leadership, stewardship and church ethics throughout the Eastern Shore.
